Psu shroud2/18/2023 ![]() ![]() Imagine you've got a very low 'IQ' but you are given the task to design a PC case. The case is a pain to work with and, as a consequence, so is this PSU shroud. The PSU shroud suffers from the flawed design of the Dark Base 900 Pro. What did l do to you BeQuiet! team? All I did is buying many of your excellent fans and expect your case would be of equal quality. BeQuiet! should NEVER have sold this case to us poor customers. It's just that l look at it and l can't help but thinking: What monkey did design this case? What type of ape? Sorry, but there are no excuses for the solutions implemented. Besides, the DB900 Pro, once built (!!), does the job well. That may be my next upgrade, but in a while as l'm tired of moving my system around. I have now my eyes set on the Phanteks P600 Silence. I wonder where they are, why don't they reply to either this or my case review? Don't hide BeQuiet team! Own your mistakes! We, customers, deserve to rage about this case after paying this much money for it!I already tried a LIan Li - PC011 Dynamic but wasn't fully happy with it (so I returned it). I may just give it as a present to my worst enemy! Jesus, what a HUGE let down BeQuiet! has been for me. I hope my PSU/HDD don't fail within a year (I hardly think l'll keep this case for this 'long' given the 'hard feelings' l grew towards it. Either way, +/- 1✬ is an insignificant, irrelevant difference to even consider.- The case looks a lot nicer now (subjective).- I'll think TWICE before l have to remove the cover given how PAINFUL it is to work on this case. Simply outrageous!Back onto the PSU shroud:- My GPU temps may have gone up by 1✬, but l'm not 100% sure of it (it may has just been different room temps). Mind you, it's not a straight forward process by any means (nothing is with this case!), but a clumsy one, like it is the rest.Boy every time I watch "HardwareCanucks" or "GamersNexus" reviews of this case I just have to laugh while thinking 'these people have no shame.' Non at all! There is NO WAY on earth you review this case and do not mention very clearly how clumsy and complicated everything is how bad quality all the screws and bolts are, etc. The main challenge I encountered was to screw one screw on the back of the case, the one near the HDD bays. I could mount the shroud without having to uninstall any components. I don't think it's as bad as this other reviewer said ("Hey buddy, l feel you though! I went through the same suffering you experienced with this case!"). l don't think you could mount this cover if you have 2 HDDs mounted there). So yes, l like the way the case looks now better than before, without the shroud. It looks nice and does the job of covering the PSU and cables (perhaps also the one HDD drive you may have installed at the bottom. the PSU shroud itself is made of good quality materials. These BeQuiet! people truly let me down so bad!Anyway. Alright, alright, let's not generalize here. It's truly hard to design something so clumsy and 'user's unfriendly,' even intentionally.Ever since I have this case I laugh so badly when l read "German design, Chinese made." Boy I wished it had been "Chinese design, German made". Well, l tell you what: you'd come up with something similar to the DB900 Pro, probably better. The case is a pain to work with and, as a consequence, so is this PSU shroud.Imagine you've got a very low 'IQ' but you are given the task to design a PC case. Something wrong with this post? Thanks for letting us know. Included is the final setup with the RGBs firing up into the case, with the room lights turned off.Ĭase is the ThermalTake Versa H26 Hatsune Miku Edition With that the panel is 100% perfect for me. ![]() In the end I took the bottom firing RGB strip and flipped it over to where it would now fire light out of the top of the panel to give my case some extra ambient light. I tried multiple brightness setting and colors and even positioned the panel upside down to see if that helped. So this is a personal preference but I felt there was too much light (bloom) shown through the panel no matter how I had the RGBs setup in iCUE. The panel also met my dimensional specs perfectly. The printing is top notch and the colors really jump with the panel lit or with the RGBs off. ![]() The creation and ordering process is great, the template give a great example of how the panel will look based on size. So many things I like about this custom panel. ![]()
